Post 5

I thought that Chapter 6 was the most interesting chapter in the book so far. I liked it because it showed that technology is becoming very important in the classroom. I liked the KWL Charts idea. I had never heard of it until this chapter. I think it helps the teacher because he/she will know what their students are most interested in learning.

Since the last post, I've learned how to make a form. While I knew how to make a basic checklist, I never knew how to add drop down menus. So I thought making the form was interesting, it just took a while.

I went to the NC State game this weekend, and it was my first time sitting on the student side for the whole game. Usually I sit with my family because we get season tickets. I don't think I've yelled that much in a long time. Aside from the rain it was awesome..although the rain did feel good since it was so hot :P

I think this chapter provided the reader with a good history of the Internet. While I use the Internet everyday, I never really knew the history behind it or how it works. While I am still a little unclear as to how it works I know more then before.

I think the search activity in class was a little basic, but it would help someone that had never used Google before. However, I use Google just about everyday so it was somewhat redundant.
Right now I'm trying to figure out what classes to take next semester. I still have to take the Teaching Diverse Populations class. I'm kind of excited about that because it will be my last pre-req. for Elementary Education.
